The Quest for the Eerie Glow, a tale for the young and not so young who haven’t lost their magic

Four animals from Deepwood who live in dislike or even fear of each other wake up in a strange land. None of them understand how or why they are there and as they search for a reason something horrible happens that causes one of them to disappear. Their cries for help are answered by a rounded orb of russet red squirrel fur surrounded by a ring of bluish white light who introduces himself as their guide, Bright Fur. He returns their lost companion and explains they are quite safe, dreaming at home in their beds in Deepwood. But as they have made such a mess of their relationships it has been decided to give them a special chance to put things right; for in the dream world it is much easier for mutual understanding and feelings of affection to grow more quickly. Although they have all been here many times before they have no recollection of these experiences for to gain the Gift of Remembrance they must first bathe in the colours of the Eerie Glow. But to do so they must take the Quest. The way of the Quest is long and hard with many dangers to test them along the route but by the time they reach the Eerie Glow they will have grown greatly and regard each other with a new respect and affection.

The book tells the tale of the Quest with the joys, fears and horrors they meet in the different lands and spheres along the way.
